Wind-Energy-Traditional "Propellor" Micro Wind Turbines

info@eco-nex.com

One may easily forget that the use of wind energy is almost as ancient as civilization itself.   Long before the internal combustion engine was invented, mankind has explored the planet using wind in the sails of ships.  Windmills built many centuries ago still adorn the beautiful countryside of the Netherlands in Europe.

Whilst huge turbines in wind farms are the popular perception of wind energy, more and more people are turning to micro wind turbines to produce wind energy.  The Micro Wind Turbine is becoming a popular feature on farms to generate electricty for electric fences and to pump water from wells.  Combined with the Eco-Nex hPS units, these cost effective wind energy products can pump water and clean microbes from the well water.

The diagram to the left demonstrates the same technology, used in both huge wind farms and single micro turbines used for single building electricity generation.

This technology is tried and tested.  In short - it works very well.

Key Aspects of this design are as follows:
1) Familiarity of design
2) Requires reasonable wind speeds to begin operation and provide electricity
3) High electrical output on windy sites
4) Not well-suited to very built-up areas or on-building installations
5) Not bird/bat friendly (although very minor problem - see FAQs)
6) Produces low noise/vibration (minor)
7) Mass produced = Low Cost
